280010 Gas Dryer Thermal Cut Off Kit
Dryer thermal kit 280010, is used on Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Roper, some Maytag and Kenmore gas dryers and includes a jumper wire not pictured above.

How to replace Gas Dryer Thermal Cut Off Kit, 280010
- Disconnect the dryer from the electrical supply
- Turn off the gas supply to the dryer
- Disconnect the dryer vent
- Remove the access panel from the back of the dryer
- To the right you will notice a tall metal heater box that is attached to the burner assembly
- Near the top of the heater box you will see the thermal cutout mounted with two screws
- Remove the wires to the thermal cutout and then remove the screws
- Install the new thermal cutout, and secure it with the screws
- Replace the wires, making sure none of the wires come in contact with the burner box
