Dishwasher v. Handwash

Posted by Jessica Zoldowski on 12/31/2018 to Dishwasher

There always seems to be a question of whether hand washing is better to clean dishes or the dishwasher is better. Sometimes people have preferences that sway the way they clean certain household items. Below will be addressing the question of “Is it better to wash the dishes by hand or using the dishwasher?”

If the question is addressing which will get dishes more clean, than the best bet would be the dishwasher. This appliance has cycles that clean and dry the dishes, plus some dishwashers have cycles like cleaning and sanitizing as well. This will give the dishes the optimum cleaning.

It is also much easier to have the dishwasher clean the dishes than for someone to take more time filling up the sink and washing them. The dishwasher only needs to be loaded and have dish soap added to it, then the rest if does on its own.

Furthermore, hand washing dishes can waste more water than dishwashers, especially with newer models coming out. Additionally, sometimes sponges can be holding bacteria more than people realize, so no matter how much soap is added, sponges need to be cleaned regularly too in order to clean to the best of their abilities.
