Are you hosting New Years Eve this year? Try these few tips to make the night easy and packed full of fun filled memories.

  1. Have white canvases hanging around the house and have your guests write down what their resolutions might be and what their greatest memory was from 2018.

  2. When it comes to the type of beverages you will have, make sure there are good non alcoholic beverages around for the people who can not drink such as children, young adults, designated drivers, etc. Sparkling grape juice or non alcoholic champagne is usually a great way to keep those who are not drinking included.

  3. Send directions or the address earlier than the night of New Years Eve, especially to those who may be going to your house for the first time. This will help keep the stress levels down. Even sending a picture of what you’re house looks like would help make things even easier.

  4. Make space. If there are a lot of expected guests to arrive, make sure to move furniture out of the way just in case games begin or just to have more standing room.

  5. If you are someone who likes to have the rule of ‘no shoes in the house,’ then supply some socks to those who may not have brought any. They can be yours or by some cheap festive ones so you won’t have to worry about getting them back.

  6. There needs to be music, so before the party starts, make sure to have a nice long playlist to play throughout the night. Also, if there is a mix of different generations, mix it up and play a little something for everyone.

  7. Glow sticks are always a fun and festive idea. It keeps the kids happy and entertained as well as adding a little more light to the event.

Take a whack at some of these New Years Eve tips to make your life a little bit easier.
