The kitchen is the hardest area to maintain cleanliness in your household; the refrigerator has expired or spilled foods. Food and grease splatter stick inside microwaves and ovens that are a pain to scrub out! As a place where you prep and eat your food, no one wants dirty appliances; also no one wants toxic chemicals inside the appliances they use to make food! Most conventional cleaners contain noxious mixtures of harmful chemicals, and conventional cleaners are banned in the European Union. SO why would we use them here!?! Clean your household appliances with ingredients you would eat! Appliance Parts Experts will inform you on recipes that are all natural and work as efficiently as conventional cleaners!
Refrigerator
The refrigerator is the most-used appliance in your kitchen, it is also the most neglected when it comes to cleaning. Food goes bad, it’s too cold to clean and who wants to remove all the food in there! Even though cleaning the refrigerator is tedious work, we all have to do it. Before cleaning your refrigerator, turn it off or increase the temperature to save energy. Then remove all the food inside the refrigerator, throw out expired or smelly foods. Remove any parts of the interior that can be taken out easily like glass or bins and scrub them in the sink with natural soap. For the rest of the refrigerator use the homemade natural recipe below to scrub the inside of your refrigerator.
What you need:
- 2 cups hot water
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 10 drops of your favorite essential oil (for a good smell)
Combine the ingredients in a spray bottle or bucket and use a cloth to wipe down the inside of your refrigerator. After cleaning and drying the inside, place back the food you took out and turn the temperature back to its normal setting. Your refrigerator is now clean!!
Range Oven
The inside of your oven is the last place you want to clean, it contains burnt food pieces on the bottom, food stuck on the rack or food splattered on the side. Gross! If you don’t have a self-cleaning oven, the process of cleaning your oven is more difficult. Oven cleaning stinks and the chemicals used in most conventional oven cleaners contain carcinogens and chemicals that can lead to respiratory illness. Why risk your health and the quality of the food made in the oven when you can use an all-natural recipe! All you need are these three ingredients.
What you need:
- Baking soda
- Spray bottle filled with water
- Plastic scrubber
First, make sure the oven is completely cool, and then remove all the shelves and pans from underneath. Scrub those parts with the scrubber then place them into the dishwasher on a “heavy” cycle, or wash them by hand whichever you prefer. With a sharp edge, scrape off any food remains and throw it out. Sprinkle a layer of baking soda about 1/4th thick to the oven floor and repeat this on the oven door which can be left open. Then spray the layer of baking soda with water until it is damp but not completely soaked. Wait 2-3 hours then spray the layer with water again and leave it as is overnight and in morning use a damp sponge or washcloth to remove the baking soda and gunk left. Lastly, wipe down the inside of the oven and enjoy your sparkling oven!
