Oven Light is Out

WARNING: Before checking or testing any parts, be sure to disconnect your range from its power source completely and shut off the gas.

1.)    Light Assembly

The light assembly is usually sold for the entire unit and not sold separately; you may have to replace the entire assembly for your unit if the oven light is out.

2.)    Light Bulb

You can plug the suspect light bulb into an identical light socket to test it out to make sure it works, or you can use a multimeter to test for continuity.

3.)    Light Socket

If you find that your bulb is working in an identical light socket but doesn’t work in the original socket, then you have found your problem. You can test the socket for continuity, and replace it if you find it defective.
