The most stressful time of the year has finally come to an end. Aside from recovering from explosive holiday spending, it’s time to begin the cleanup process. Whether it is the decorations to the leftovers and even the tree, they all have to sadly be put away.
Don’t feel overwhelmed by post-Christmas cleanups. We have some easy tips for making this cleaning easier and less stressful!
Store Those Ornaments
Putting those cute ornaments on the Christmas tree is always fun but definitely not taking them off. If you want to re-use your ornaments and not have them ruined by next year you should be organizing your ornaments. For delicate ornaments, use plastic cups then proceed to store them in a box.
Good Bye Christmas Lights
Lights make every decoration better but as the holiday season comes to an end it’s best to store them away until next year. Tangled lights are a pain and in order to avoid them, start wrapping your light strings around a can or paper bag to avoid a tangled disaster. You can also try cutting a slit on each end of a paper towel roll, then insert the end of the strands.
Put Away the Tree
We often forget that we have to put away the tree. So you want to remove your tree as quick as possible? Follow these simple steps to save time and avoid a tree-mess.
As we already took off the ornaments and Christmas lights, we now have to tackle the Christmas tree. The first thing you need to do is have a large container readily available to dispose of any water. If you want to avoid any pine needles on your floor, wrap the tree in a blanket or plastic tree bag.
