  •         Shelves and surfaces should be wiped down whenever there is a spill or a leakage of something, to prevent cross contamination and bacteria
  •         Once a week, the fridge should be cleaned out- Toss any leftover food from the week and make sure nothing is past its expiration date  
  •          Every seasonal shift (or every three months), a more intense cleaning should be done- Remove all the food and clean all the surfaces, drawers, and shelving with a baking soda cleaning solution or sudsy water. Let everything dry completely before putting the food back
  •          The water filter should be changed every six months

With these tips, you can be assured that your fridge is clean enough, and that your food will stay safe and fresh!
