Soap and water: This recipe may not keep smudge marks away for that long, but it will ensure a nice clean shiny look to your appliance. All you have to do is mix water and a little bit of soap and apply it to the smudged area!
White Vinegar and Lemon Juice: Vinegar is very acidic so it does a good job of leaving surfaces shiny and clean. Spray the appliance with vinegar and use a paper towel or a soft cloth to wipe the vinegar off and you should be left with a clean surface!

Club Soda: Seltzer and sparkling water would also work for this. Any beverage that is carbonated water will fight scum and residue. If it is flavored water that’s color is altered, add a little bit of water to dilute it. Then you can simply apply the carbonated water to the stainless steel and wipe it off.
Olive or Baby Oil: Since these are oily substances, it will leave the stainless surface shiny and clean. After you apply it to the appliance, make sure you thoroughly wipe off the remaining oil because it will be slimy.
Furniture Polish: This is meant to leave wooden furniture and other furniture shiny. Spray this on stainless steel and wipe it off with a soft cloth towel. This method works to also prevent fingerprints from catching onto the stainless steel.

Windex or Glass Cleaner: This is the obvious choice and most homeowner’s go-to. These cleaners will do the trick of removing fingerprints but it will not help with preventing fingerprints.
