Everyone knows the purpose of a refrigerator - to store food and perishable items and keep them fresh. But, there are other uses for your fridge, such as storing it with items that aren't food. Your freezer too!


Putting aloe in your refrigerator can cool it down and will provide extra relief to any sunburns during this extra warm summer.

Seeds meant for a colder climate will be ready to plant after being placed in an airtight container in your fridge.

Leaving  a pillowcase or stuffed animal in the fridge can not only cool them down for hot summer nights, but it also can aid in killing dust mites.

If you use pencil eyeliner, letting it chill in the refrigerator will prevent it from breaking while sharpening, and let you attain a sharp tip.


When you place smaller candles in the freezer, it causes the candle to drip less and burn longer.

Storing batteries in the freezer helps them last longer, unless they are alkaline batteries

By storing your favorite pair of jeans in the freezer, it helps them maintain their color and prevents them from fading.

If you accidentally seal an envelope too soon, put it in the freezer for a few hours and when you take them out, use a knife or letter opener to open it. Wait until it gets back to room temperature to seal it again.
